Purpose
  • Encourage & Explain why YOU need to be an Eagle Scout
  • Provide you with usable information on how to do your Project

Requirements for Eagle Scout
  • 1.  Be ACTIVE in your troop, team, crew, or ship for a period of at least 6 months after you have achieved the rank of Life Scout

Requirements for Eagle Scout
  • Does it have to be continuous?
    • NO.  Any six month period since your Life Board of Review is sufficient.
    • It does NOT have to be the most recent six months.

  • Demonstrate Scout spirit by living the Scout Oath and Scout Law in your everyday life.  List the names of individuals who know you personally and would be willing to provide a recommendation on your behalf.

Requirements for Eagle Scout
  • 4.  While a Life Scout, serve actively for a period of 6 months in one or more of the following positions of responsibility. 

    List only those positions after Life board of review date.

  • 5.  While a Life Scout, plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project helpful to any religious institution, any school, or your community.

  • Take part in a Scoutmaster conference with your unit leader.

  • Your Unit Leader will be contacted by one of the District Advancement Committee to schedule the BOR
  • Relatives, SM or ASM cannot be member of the BOR
  • SM can observe the BOR
  • Any other adult can be a member of the BOR - Normally 3-6 people – Must be at least 21 years old

  • After approval by the BOR, The Eagle Application, & Advancement Report are turned into the Council Office
  • Wait for the approval of National prior to scheduling your Court of Honor
    • Typically 3-6 weeks until they reply
    • Then 3-6 weeks more until the Court of Honor
