Troop 61 generally goes camping on the third weekend every month. There are also additional campouts and practice hikes for those hiking a portion of the Appalacian Trail this year. We generally try to do our hike on the Appalacian Trail the week of Spring Break. This coming year we will be going to Camp Thunder for Summer Camp. Countdown to Summer Camp: The campouts that we go on are dependent on what the Scouts want to do. Trips over the years have included: deep sea fishing, horseback riding, canoeing, tubing, rifle shooting and many more. Please check out the calendar for the exact dates of our activities. In addition to your regular campouts we have a group of Scouts that are more interested in High Adventure. In addition to our "high adventure" group, there is also a Venturing Crew that is also sponsored by the Presbyterian Church of Bloomingdale that some of our Boy Scouts are members of. Below are the camping links you may need throughout the year: Standard Permission Slip - permission slips will be given out before each activity Grub Master Roster and Menu - form to be filled out and submitted to ASM before campout. Medical Form - we must have an updated medical form (every 12 months) before you and/or your scout can attend an overnight activity. Prescription Dosing Form - required for summer camp.
